Most of the current education celebrities had been engaged
in education work for a long term before the liberation
and become people's educators with great contribution
on the development of education. Among them are: Wu Yuzhang, the preeminent proletariat revolutionist who has donated himself to the education and character reform courses in China; Ma Xulun, the first Minister of Education who
initiated the education course of China and established
China People University; Chen Heqin, who initiated the
children education course of China and established the
first complete 5-part normal education system for children
in China; Wu Yifang, the first Chinese female president
of the first Women University of China with a reputation
of "Athena (Goddess of Wisdom)" in abroad; Ye
Shengtao, who had put forward the famous opinion of "Teaching
is for not teaching any more" and engaged in literature
activities and the selection and compilation of Chinese
textbooks; Tong Chuncai, who had accumulated long-term
experiences in the compilation and review of textbooks
and in the administrative leading work of education, and
proposed a whole set of constructive suggestions on the
development of China's education course; Duan Lipei, the
high school education reformer who invented the "students
cultivation experience" and "8 character teaching
method"; and Sixia, the female educator who made
great influence on the primary education by her practice
and conclusion on the character and word teaching to the
lower grades primary students. |
